Detailed Product Description

Create marine components, furniture, cabinetry, and architectural woodwork with this single S4S marine-grade teak lumber board. The board is supplied at a finished thickness of 21 mm, with a width of 7.5 inches and a length of 36 inches.

Although commonly categorized as nominal 1-inch lumber, the actual finished S4S thickness is approximately 0.83 inch. Surfacing on all four sides produces smooth faces and finished edges, providing a more consistent profile for measuring, cutting, routing, joining, and final fabrication.

The broad 7.5-inch width makes this board suitable for boat cabinetry, yacht interiors, deck margins, covering boards, shelves, cabinet doors, table components, furniture parts, thresholds, trim, and other custom woodworking applications.

The teak is kiln dried to approximately 8–10% moisture content, helping improve dimensional consistency before fabrication. Actual moisture content can vary slightly according to storage conditions, destination climate, and the measuring instrument used.

Teak is widely selected for marine and premium woodworking because of its dense grain, natural oils, warm coloration, and refined appearance. The board can be machined and finished according to the requirements of the intended project.

Because teak naturally contains oils, bonding surfaces should be properly prepared, and adhesives, primers, sealants, and finishes should be selected specifically for teak or other oily hardwoods.

Natural wood variations are expected. Individual boards may differ in grain direction, color, tone, texture, mineral markings, and surface character. Allow additional material for trimming, final sizing, grain matching, cutting losses, and project tolerances.
