Detailed Product Description

Complete yacht decking, boat restoration, and premium woodworking projects with this nine-piece bundle of kiln-dried FEQ marine-grade teak decking strips.

Each strip measures 12 mm thick × 50 mm wide × 9 feet long, equivalent to approximately 0.47 × 1.97 × 108 inches. The complete bundle provides approximately 81 linear feet, 13.29 square feet of face coverage, and 6.28 board feet of teak material.

The wider 50 mm profile is suitable for yacht deck planks, cockpit flooring, swim platforms, deck margins, covering boards, hatch surrounds, thresholds, cabin trim, furniture components, and architectural joinery. Full nine-foot lengths help minimize joints across longer deck runs and provide a clean, continuous appearance.

The teak is kiln dried to help regulate moisture content and improve dimensional consistency before fabrication. Its FEQ marine-grade selection is intended for visible applications where grain quality, natural color, and material appearance are important.

The VG Mix designation refers to a combination of vertical and near-vertical grain characteristics. Natural differences in golden-brown tone, grain direction, mineral markings, and texture remain visible and contribute to the authentic character of every strip.

Teak is traditionally selected for marine woodworking because of its dense structure and naturally occurring oils. Freshly machined teak generally displays warm golden-brown coloration. When exposed outdoors without a protective finish, the surface may gradually develop a silver-gray patina.

The strips can be cut, routed, drilled, sanded, shaped, bonded, fastened, or finished according to the intended application. Since teak naturally contains oils, use surface-preparation methods, adhesives, primers, sealants, and finishes specifically recommended for teak or other oily hardwoods.
